Sunshine Coast, QLD, Australia

The Sunshine Coast is a stunning coastal region in South East Queensland, located about 100 kilometres (60 miles) north of the state capital, Brisbane. The area runs from Caloundra in the south to Noosa Heads in the north and inland to the verdant Blackall Ranges. It’s a place where Australia comes to relax – uncrowded golden beaches, lush rainforest walks, and charming oceanfront villages define this subtropical paradise.

With over 100 kilometres of sparkling coastline, the Sunshine Coast is famous for its surf breaks, fresh seafood, and laid‑back locals. The Sunshine Coast is the only place in Australia where three UNESCO‑declared biospheres sit side‑by‑side, uniquely positioned to offer the very best of natural beauty.

The traditional custodians of the Sunshine Coast are the Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) and Jinibara peoples, who have lived on these lands for thousands of years. Their deep connection to the country, the coastline, and the hinterland remains an integral part of the region’s identity.
